A new chapter for the old estate lake…

The lake is just under 2 acres and split in two halves divided by the bridge, with a large tunnel allowing the carp to swim freely between each side. The lake is spring fed with an average depth of 3.5-4 ft. It is clay lined and like most estate lakes silty and weedy at certain times of the year.
Stock
We have 100 carp currently up to 26Ib with the average size being mid to upper doubles, with plenty of 20’s to go for. With the lakes being so fertile, we have a very good recruitment of young carp coming through, which has been great for us to move into our stock pond to hand select for the future.
We manage the numbers of roach, rudd and perch to encourage good growth for our carp but always keep a few back, which proves popular with kids and families that want to float fish.

Our aim was always to keep the lake as natural as possible so it feels like a wild escape rather than feeling commercialised, so therefore we have no manmade swims so please pitch up wherever you feel comfortable.
Although we allow a maximum of 4 people, we advise it is best suited to a maximum of 3 anglers.
With life being so hectic, why not upgrade to the cabin, leave the bivvi at home and come enjoy a weekend stalking for some beautiful English carp.
